Privacy Policy

SadX Production Lab built the Aura Gallery app as an Ad Supported app. This SERVICE is provided by SadX Production Lab at no cost and is intended for use as is.

This page is used to inform visitors regarding my policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use my Service.

If you choose to use my Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that I collect is used for providing and improving the Service. I will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions, which is accessible at Aura Gallery unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy.

Information Collection and Use

For a better experience, while using our Service, I may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information. The information that I request will be retained on your device and is not collected by me in any way.

The app does use third party services that may collect information used to identify you.

Photo & Media Access

Aura Gallery accesses photos and videos stored on your device to display them within the app and to provide its features. Your media files are never uploaded to any server or shared with third parties. All media remains on your device at all times.

To power features such as QR Codes, People, Documents, Memories, Featured Photos and Cleanup, the app analyzes your photos on your device (for example, to find QR codes, faces, text on documents, duplicate or blurry photos, and the general scene in a photo). The results are saved only in the app's private storage on your device, are never sent to us or to anyone else, and are removed when you uninstall the app or clear its data.

Documents & Text Recognition

The Documents feature uses on-device text recognition (Google ML Kit) to recognize kinds of photos such as ID cards, tickets and receipts, so they can be grouped together and kept out of Memories, Featured Photos and Year in Review. The text read from your photos is processed on your device and is not uploaded or shared. Photos of government IDs are blurred inside the app, and you can move them to the Private Vault.

Private Vault

The Private Vault feature encrypts selected photos and videos using AES-256-GCM encryption and stores them locally on your device. Vault contents never leave your device and are not accessible to us or any third party.

Biometric Authentication

The app uses your device's biometric authentication (fingerprint or face) to protect the Private Vault. Biometric data is processed entirely by your device's secure hardware and is never collected or transmitted by the app.

Face Detection & People

The app uses on-device machine learning (Google ML Kit and a bundled on-device recognition model) to detect faces in your photos and group visually similar faces into "People" collections within the gallery, so you can browse your photos by who's in them. All face analysis happens entirely on your device — face data is never uploaded or transmitted, and is not linked to any real-world identity or external database. The groupings are kept in the app's private storage on your device and are refreshed from time to time in the background as new photos are added. Any names you assign to a "People" group are stored only in your device's local settings and are never collected by us or shared with any third party. Face recognition results may not always be perfectly accurate.

Camera

Camera access is used solely for the live QR code scanner feature. Camera data is processed on-device in real time and is never stored or transmitted.

Location Information

The app may read GPS coordinates embedded in photo EXIF metadata to display location information. This data is read locally and is never collected or transmitted.

Analytics

The app uses Firebase Analytics (Google) to understand how the app is used so I can improve it — for example, which screens and features are opened (such as the tab you select, or whether you open QR Codes or run Cleanup) and how many items an action affected. Analytics also receives basic technical information such as device model, operating system version, app version, country and an app-instance identifier. It never receives your photos, videos, file names, locations, faces or anything read from your photos. The app does not collect your advertising ID for analytics.

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and other regions where the law requires it, analytics stays off until you agree in the consent message shown by the app. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → About → Privacy Choices (shown where available), or by clearing the app's data.

Advertising & Consent

The app shows ads provided by Google AdMob (an app-open ad and an ad card in the Albums tab). AdMob may use your device's advertising ID and similar identifiers to show and measure ads. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and other regions where required, the app asks for your consent through Google's User Messaging Platform before ads are requested, and you can change your choice later in Settings → About → Privacy Choices. You can also reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads in your Android settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads). Ads are never shown inside your photo grid, photo viewer, People, Memories or Private Vault.

Push Notifications

The app uses Firebase Cloud Messaging to send optional push notifications (such as "On This Day" memories). A device token is generated by Google's FCM service. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.

Log Data

I want to inform you that whenever you use my Service, in a case of an error in the app I collect data and information (through third party products, including Firebase Crashlytics) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol ("IP") address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing my Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, crash details, and other statistics.

Data Retention & Deletion

Everything the app creates about your photos (QR results, People groups, document labels, cleanup results, names you assign, settings and the Private Vault) is stored on your device. It is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its data. Note that the Private Vault cannot be recovered after that. Analytics and crash data held by Google can be controlled through your Google account and device settings, and you can contact me to ask about it.

Cookies

Cookies are files with a small amount of data that are commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers. These are sent to your browser from the websites that you visit and are stored on your device's internal memory.

This Service does not use these "cookies" explicitly. However, the app may use third party code and libraries that use "cookies" to collect information and improve their services. You have the option to either accept or refuse these cookies and know when a cookie is being sent to your device. If you choose to refuse our cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of this Service.

Service Providers

I may employ third-party companies and individuals due to the following reasons:

• To facilitate our Service;
• To provide the Service on our behalf;
• To perform Service-related services; or
• To assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.

I want to inform users of this Service that these third parties have access to your Personal Information. The reason is to perform the tasks assigned to them on our behalf. However, they are obligated not to disclose or use the information for any other purpose.

Security

I value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and I cannot guarantee its absolute security.

This Service may contain links to other sites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by me. Therefore, I strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of these websites. I have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

Children's Privacy

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. I do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. In the case I discover that a child under 13 has provided me with personal information, I immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact me so that I will be able to do necessary actions.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

I may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. I will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted on this page.
